Foundry Featured in GreenCraft Magazine!

Hitting shelves on August 1st is the autumn issue of GreenCraft magazine, a national publication from Stampington & Co. that features “Upholstery Sample Tablescapes”, a four-page spread written by Natalie Hood and Shelly Piper of Foundry, featuring their original handmade napkin rings and coasters. GreenCraft “honors and inspires those who fine artistic, functional and ecologically chic applications for normally discarded resources”. It is this type of purposeful ingenuity that GreenCraft acknowledges and that thrives in western North Carolina.  To read the article in its entirety click below.  Enjoy!

New Summer Reading

Sweeten up summer parties with Mingle magazine.  You'll find very creative ways to merge upcycling

with entertaining!

Take showering seriously

If there was a list of upcycled stuff we never thought we'd find, this would definitely be on it..... soap!

Summit Soap harvests recycled plant oils and combines them with various essential oils to create scents like Chai Chi, Healing Tree, and Bacon.  Yes, Bacon.  They even make beard conditioner!

Vintage fabrics even more fabulous

Discover vintage made modern with Cameoko's pendants and earrings.  They are beautifully set in silver findings and resin. So special!

The Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore ReUse Contest is back again!

The Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity (AAHH) is hosting a ReStore ReUse Contest to showcase innovative building projects constructed predominantly of used building materials.

Lower that carbon footprint

even more!

Well it wasn't on purpose, but it seems that most of our new stuff for summer is travel-oriented!

Have a look....

 New upholstery sample tote bags!

The best thing about these bags is that a

key hook is attached to the shoulder

strap, which used to be a belt!

Inner tube dopp kit.

Spill all the shampoo you want inside this guy.

Rinse it out and you're good to go.  It's rubber!

 Upcycled fabric jewelry pouches.

This 4" bag can carry all your treasures

wherever you go.

First Thursday Craft Night:

August 1st, 5-8pm

What's the best thing about craft night at Foundry?  The people who come of course!

That's why we've decided to switch things up a bit and host a craft night pot-luck.  Don't worry, you don't have to bring a dish...

it's BYOC: bring your own craft!

Just gather up the basics of what you're working on and we'll chat, exhange ideas, and and make new connections.  It's just that simple.

We are happy to share supplies and even a bottle or two of wine from our new Charlotte Street neighbors, Metro Wines.

Please RSVP to or call

since space is limited.  Kids are welcome.

Check our Facebook BYOC event page for
